Greek Exericese Leopard 2A4, PZH 2000, M109 howitzers - many more

The Leopard 2A4 is a German-made main battle tank designed and manufactured by the Company Krauss-Maffei Wegmann, the successor of the main battle tank Leopard 1. The version Leopard 2A4 constitutes the basis of today’s Leopard-family. In 1977, the German Army selected Krauss-Maffei as prime contractor for series production of the Leopard 2 and placed an order, with options, for 1,800 MBTs, 990 of which were to be built by Krauss-Maffei and the remaining 810 by Rheinmetall. The first preproduction Leopard 2 MBT was delivered to the German Army late in 1978 for training. The first production Leopard 2 was handed over by Krauss-Maffei in October 1979 in Munich. Six tanks were delivered in 1979, 100 in 1980, 220 in 1981 and by 1982 production was running at 300 a year. The Leopard 2 is in service with Austria, Canada, Chile, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Greece, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Switzerland, Sweden, Spain and Turkey, with a total of 3,200 vehicles.

The Panzerhaubitze 2000 ("Armoured howitzer 2000"), abbreviated PzH 2000, is a German 155 mm self-propelled howitzer developed by Krauss-Maffei Wegmann (KMW) and Rheinmetall for the German Army. The PzH 2000 is one of the most powerful conventional artillery systems currently deployed. It is particularly notable for a very high rate of fire; in burst mode it can fire three rounds in 9 seconds, ten rounds in 56 seconds, and can fire between 10 and 13 rounds per minute continuously, depending on barrel heating.[1] The PzH 2000 has automatic support for Multiple Rounds Simultaneous Impact (MRSI) for up to 5 rounds. The replenishment of shells is automated. Two operators can load 60 shells and propelling charges in less than 12 minutes. PzH 2000 has also been selected by the armies of Italy, Netherlands and Greece, and more orders are probable as many NATO forces replace their M109 howitzers.

Russia's Twin Underwater Threat: 885 M-Class and Borei-Class Nuclear Submarines (Short Overviews)

Overview of Russia Navy’s Perm Yasen M-Class Nuclear Multi-Purpose Submarine and Prince Pozharsky Borei-Class Nuclear Ballistic Missile Submarine.

The Severodvinsk-class submarine (Russian: Проект 885 "Ясень", "ash tree"; NATO reporting name: "Severodvinsk", also known erroneously as the Graney class) is the newest Russian nuclear-powered multipurpose attack submarine. Based on the Akula-class submarine and the Alfa-class submarine, it is projected to replace Russia's Soviet-era attack submarines, both the Akula and Oscar-class submarines.

According to one of the U.S. Navy’s top submarine officers Rear Adm. Dave Johnson, Naval Sea Systems Command’s (NAVSEA) program executive officer (PEO) submarines, "We’ll be facing tough potential opponents. One only has to look at the Severodvinsk, Russia’s version of a [nuclear guided missile submarine] (SSGN). I am so impressed with this ship that I had Carderock build a model from unclassified data [so that he could look at it every day on his way to his office].”

The Borei class (Russian: Борей; transliterated as Borey, NATO Reporting Name: Dolgorukiy class, after the name of the lead vessel, Yury Dolgorukiy) is the new class of nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine produced by Russia and operated by the Russian Navy, while the Severodvinsk-class submarine is the new Russian attack submarine. The class is intended to replace the Delta III, Delta IV and Typhoon classes now in Russian Navy service. The class is named after Boreas, the North wind.

Despite being a replacement for many types of submarines, the Borei-class submarines are much smaller than those of the Typhoon class in both volume and crew (107 people as opposed to 160 for the Typhoons). The goal of this downsizing is to reduce the cost to build and maintain the submarines.

Type: Ballistic missile submarine

Displacement:

14,720 t (14,488 long tons) surfaced
24,000 t (23,621 long tons) submerged
Length: 170 m (557 ft 9 in)
Beam: 13.5 m (44 ft 3 in)
Draught: 10 m (32 ft 10 in)

Propulsion:

1 × ОК-650В nuclear reactor
1 × AEU steam turbine
1 × shaft and propeller (pump-jet)
Speed:

Submerged: 30 knots (56 km/h; 35 mph)
Surfaced: 15 knots (28 km/h; 17 mph)
Range: Unlimited; (1yr+) endurance restricted by food stores
Test depth: planned 450m (1,400+ft)
Complement: 107 total crew

Armament:

20 (955А Borei II), 16 (Project 955) × RSM-56 Bulava SLBMs with 6-10 MIRVed warheads
6 × 533 mm torpedo tubes
RPK-2 Viyuga cruise missiles

Yasen-class project 885 submarines, designed by St. Petersburg's Malachite mechanical engineering bureau newest class of submarines and the Borei-class nuclear-powered subs are to become the mainstay of the naval component of Russia's strategic nuclear deterrent.

MiG-35 Russian Air Force. Presentation flight

The Mikoyan MiG-35 (Russian: Микоян МиГ-35, NATO reporting name: Fulcrum-F) is a Russian fighter aircraft that is a further development of the MiG-29M/M2 and MiG-29K/KUB fighters. It is classified as a 4++ generation jet fighter by Mikoyan.[6] The first prototype was a modification of the aircraft that previously served as a MiG-29M2 model demonstrator. In 2009, ten prototypes had been built for field trials.[7]

The MiG Corporation first officially presented the MiG-35 internationally during the Aero India 2007 air show.[8] The MiG-35 was officially unveiled when the Russian Minister of Defence, Sergey Ivanov, visited the Lukhovitsky Machine Building Plant "MAPO-MIG".[9] The single seat version is designated MiG-35 and the two-seat version is MiG-35D. The fighter has vastly improved avionics and weapon systems, notably the new AESA radar and the uniquely designed optical locator system (OLS), relieves the aircraft from relying on ground-controlled interception (GCI) systems and enables it to conduct independent multi-role missions.
